Our Staff

Kathleen Murphy

Clinical Social Worker
MSW, RSW - Clinical Specialist

Specializing in helping individuals and couples navigate trauma, attachment challenges, and relationship struggles, using somatic approaches and evidence-based methods to foster deep healing and meaningful connection.

Dedicated to supporting couples in the community, I understand that relationships are at the heart of many of life’s challenges and growth opportunities. I believe we all have an innate capacity to heal, but the healing process can be complex. As a Clinical Social Worker, my primary focus is on couples therapy and fostering relationship health. I am trained in multiple attachment modalities, as well as the Developmental Model through the Couples Institute, and the Gottman Method for couples, all of which promote enhancing relational dynamics and promoting emotional growth within partnerships. These specific couples training combined with my other approaches, allows me to guide couples in strengthening their connection, improving communication and resolving conflicts. I also support individuals navigating a range of challenges, including attachment injuries, life transitions, anxiety, stress, grief and loss, depression, and relationship struggles. In my work, I emphasize attachment-based and trauma-responsive methods to ensure a client-centered experience. I am trained in Somatic Experiencing, a body-based therapy for treating trauma, Circle of Security Parenting™, Narrative Therapy and Emotion-Focused Therapy. Additionally, I offer parenting support for caregivers navigating the day to day challenges of raising children with the desire to create healthier family dynamics.
